Bonfire

I planned the annual bonfire my friends & I started last year 2 weeks ago, but no one had the time. I guess it was just me & the besties that decided to make our own bonfire.

Nicole couldn’t make it out originally, but she surprised me when she texted if there was room for her the night before. I was hella excited cuz we all haven’t hung out in sooo long. Went to Bel-Air in the morning to pick up some supplies: soda, water, paper towels, wipes, s’mores stuff. Was already running late, went to go pay & realized I left my wallet at home. -_- Had to get back home really quick, came back, & left to pick up Nicole. Got to Kuya AJ’s around 1 & we went to go get donuts cuz Nicole was hungry, lol. Leesh’s GPS was acting hella cray cray on us, so we were driving aimlessly for a while trying to find the right direction. haha. Finally got on the road around 2, cut off a Greyhound cuz I was about to miss my exit. I seriously was about to get into an accident. LOL. Brought my “Would You Rather?” book that Zachs bought me for my birthday. I never read it unless I bring it in the car. I decided to keep it in there for road trips. It took us about 3 hours to get to SF when it would normally take about an hour & a half. We realized there was a 49ers game playing. Plus it was RTB that night, so hella football & Hip Hop heads were rushing over. *sigh*

Nicole wanted to spend some hard earned money on some new clothes, so we went to American Apparel first. Everything there is poop now. She said she wanted to get her nose pierced, so we hit up this place called Braindrops on Haight. Nicole wanted a little something to drink beforehand, so she drank in my car. haha. They were closing at 7 & we got there at 6:30. They told us we were too late. Booo. Nicole got buzzed for nothing. LOL. We finally got to the beach around 7 but went to the Safeway across the street to buy some wood. Walked up the beach to find unclaimed fire pits. Walking in that sand was hella killing Nicole & I, so we decided to walk on the pavement, haha. We watched Leesh & AJ try to find a fire pit as they walked down the beach. No luck. Being the spies that we are, Nicole & I spotted a family that was packing up. We got a fire pit. (: It was in the shape of a Starfish. Uhh, ok? I went to go move my car closer while AJ saved that spot. We started unloading the stuff & he goes, “Who are they talking to?” & I see that there’s 3 other people that are talking to Leesh & Nicole at our fire. Leesh then texts me “New Russian friends LOL” ahahahaa. We get the supplies down & Leesh tells me that the two Russians in the white just randomly came up to the fire & said “This feels good.” They obvi can’t tell them to go away, so they were just like “Uhhh, yeeeah.” ahaha. Then all of a sudden, this random Austrian guy comes up to the fire too. We all thought it was some sort of plot to like, take our food or kill us or something. Nicole tried to come up with ideas to make them leave, so she told me to pretend to make out with her so they’d feel uncomfortable. We pretended to make out & all we did was laugh. LOL, fail. We hella held out for an hour & didn’t eat anything cuz we kinda didn’t wanna share our food. LOL. But we were like “Fuck it” & offered them chips, beer, & hot links. We were waiting on Manang Dani & Kuya Drexel to come over. They were stuck in traffic for 69years. ): Leesh & AJ decided to meet them at the Safeway to pick up some stuff while they left me & Nicole, the two vulnerable black gurls, to the foreigners. I got bored with them really quick so I decided to start lying about everything that happened in my life. I told them Chris Brown was my 2nd cousin, that I’m 1/16th Italian, that I used to work in Vegas & got sold to some pimp, that Nicole & I went to Paris last summer & got kidnapped, that I speak 7 languages (one of them being Swahili) & we went to some rich kid high school where they taught us all these languages. Nicole offered them the UV we had & she asked if they’ve ever heard of it. They said no & I acted “surprised”. I told them that UV is a really “high class, high quality American vodka.” ahahahaha. Long story short, I just lied about everything LOL. Leesh, AJ, Dani, & Drexel came back & the foreigners finally left and we exchanged facebooks. hahahaha.

We were finally all settled & laughing about that whole situation and how that would happen to nobody but us. AJ & Nicole were drinking Blue Moons & Nicole asked me to grab a Sunkist out of the cooler for her. I gave her a Sunkist & saw two people with flashlights walking towards us. I thought they were just random homeless people walking the beach (or as I like to call them, “witches”), then they came up & said, “Cops.” Nicole knew they were cops so she hid her beer & AJ went to go hide his beer & the lady cop said, “No need to hide that. I already see it & you’re CLEARLY not 21.” I was scared shitless, & he just said that he was over 21. They told us that alcohol wasn’t allowed there & to pack up and leave. I had stuff to put back in the cooler & they were standing by the cooler, waiting for me to open it, probably to see if we had more alcohol. I hella knew what they were trying to pull so I just stood there watching them, & I put all the stuff on top of the cooler. Slyyyy. We packed all the bottles in a clear plastic bag & rushed to the car cuz there were cops patrolling the parking lot. I had to hid the bag behind Leesh cuz shit, the bottles were totes exposed ahahaha. We quickly put everything in the trunk. AJ said it was cool to stay & make s’mores, just as long as the alcohol was put away. Some guy at the fire next to us got arrested for being drunk, so we decided to leave. I got all the chairs & put them in my car. I couldn’t put them in the back, or the cop would see all the alcohol in the trunk. I freaked out cuz I saw him issue the car next to Dani’s a ticket. I started calling her & she didn’t answer. I called Leesh & she didn’t answer. I was about to die, ahahaha. But they all made it to the cars in time & he didn’t issue anything. Cool. We decided to meet at Safeway to see what we were gonna do. It was only like, 10:40. The night was young.

Got to Safeway, decided to go back to Sac & just drink at AJ’s. Manang bought an iced tea I think & the total came to $1.05. None of us had any change at all & all she gave was a dollar. Yeeah, the day just kept getting worse LOL. But the nice old Asian lady said it was ok. (: So we were heading back to Sac and my tire pressure gauge went off. I was so scared & confused. I got my tires replaced last month cuz there was a nail in it, & every time I went to patch it up, it would still deflate. Then my dad went to go check the tire pressure the morning before we left cuz it went off again. I exited & found a gas station to check the pressure on all my tires. I pull into where the air is & Nicole sees this old man in a truck next to us, sleeping. I hella didn’t see him until I got closer & it freaked the fuck outta me. AJ was like, “Can you please get out of here?” ahahahaha. He seriously looked dead & he was grey, sooo. haha. Kuya checked my tires & said they were all the same pressure, the right pressure. Odd. Maybe my light is just acting up. We went back on the freeway & 20mins later the light turns off. wtf? We all realized we had to wake up early & we were hella tired, so Leesh texted Dani. I feel hella bad for manang. ): Drove hella long to SF & only stayed for like 20-30mins & had to drive back. I’d be sooo mad/sad. Sorry, manangggggg. ):

Regardless, I’m glad I spent yesterday with my bests. I love them. <3

American Idol

So, Tuesday was American Idol auditions at Arden. Regina told me about this a few weeks back, so I was going to pre-register on the Fox website. I asked Mags if she was doing anything that day so she could pre-register too, but she said it was Zach's last day here. I signed up anyway. Come Saturday, Mags asked if there were auditions on Tuesday & I said yes. I pretty much decided to audition with her cuz I didn't wanna do it alone anyway. I guess Zach's last day was some other time?

Anyway, we arrive to Arden around 8:30 & we were expecting a huge line outside since the mall wasn't even open yet. There was no one there. We waited for someone to attempt to walk in the mall & we followed that person. Sure enough, the mall was open yet empty. Like an airport at 2AM. We finally saw a huge crowd in front of Nordstrom's upstairs & went up. The lines were pretty unorthodox, but we found the back of the line. It was hard trying not to do our ghetto black gurl voices cuz of all the black people in line with us, LOL. But we ended up making friends with two of them. Man, were they hella funny. One girl, who looked like Solange, was suuuper nice. She had a tattoo on her left boob that read "Rajon", her son's name. hahaha. She told us her whole life story. Like how her boyfriend is white & her brother's girlfriend is white and how they don't discriminate. ahhaha. This one girl in particular, Gabby, was mad annoying. Mags & I just could not handle her anymore cuz she just kept taaaalking. At one point she complimented Solange's sister (Shamani) on her purple & black sweater she was wearing. Shamani hella just mean mugged her & Gabby was just like "I'm just...saying." ahahah, poor thing. Gabby let us know that she didn't have any form of ID with her cuz she didn't know, so Solange was like "OMG, DO YOU HAVE YOUR BIRF CONTROL?......I mean....birf certificate?" omg, Mags could not keep it in. ahahahaha. Another thing was Solange hella had her birth certificate in her hand & she accidentally let it go & it landed on the roof of a storefront. She started panicking & started saying "I'm thinking, I'm thinking" then goes & grabs a mop stick in front of a store. It hella didn't reach so she put her sweater on it. She asked Shamani to go down to go catch it when it fell down, but she didn't realize there was a lip on the roof so she slipped it under the lip. She hella had to call for someone that worked there & ended up dropping the stick down to the first floor too. LOLOL.

The line was finally moving around 11, which was weird cuz pre-registrant auditions were from 10-12. I guess no one showed up? We were halfway there until they announced they found a top 20 already. There were 20 spots left. Then the top 20 performed downstairs on stage with a mic. They all suuuuucked. I have no idea how they all made it. We were finally in front of the old Calendar store where the auditions took place & we waited for a good 30mins. We got really scared cuz at that point, there were about 7 spots left so we thought we wouldn't be able to audition. While we were waiting, some lady got hella hood with security that I was getting a little scurred myself. ahaha. But anyway, we were lucky enough to get into the room. I sang "Bust Your Windows" & they asked me to sing another song, I sang "Black & Gold". I made it through top 40 as number 39. Maggie auditioned & didn't make it cuz she was super nervous. I felt super bad. ): All they told me to do was up the tempo when I perform downstairs.

So I get downstairs & wait to perform with the last 10 people that made it. This time, there were judges to critique. Odd, they didn't have that for the top 20. Whatever, I'm not tripping. So I went to perform my song & one of the judges said "Are you kidding me?..." In my head I thought, "omg, he's probably kidding around." & he goes on to say, "that was...awful." My jaw fell to the floor & I pretty much tuned whatever the rest of the judges had to say. I pretty much felt like Carrie Bradshaw when Big left her at the altar. I hella had to get out of there. hahaha. I was just bitter & sad the rest of the day. How the hell am I so awful that I even placed top 40? & how the hell was I the only bad critique? Ugh, whatever. Mags treated me to Olive Garden afterwards & we went to the driving range.

Went to Kuya AJ's later that night & chilled/drank with the bests. We're so random. Pizza, cake, alcohol, & "Teen Mom". haha, I love them.

Counting Calories?

I think I'm gonna do it. I'll give it a month & see where it goes.

I just wanna be famous

so I don't have to worry about school. I'd be making hella bank.

School stresses me out too much. I still need to switch my major & I have no idea what to take. I was looking at Computer Science & there's so much math & physics involved. I'm not that Asian to be taking those classes. LOL. I'm riding between Apparel Marketing & Design and Graphic Design. They have classes that I know I wouldn't get bored with. At my school, Graphic Design is an impacted major. But I'm not too worried about that. I'm just worried about career opportunities. Apparel Marketing & Design has many options, but I saw store manager as one of them & thought, "Ew. Why would I wanna do that?" Designer, magazine editor, etc. are all the paths I can take with that major. Graphic Design is pretty slim. I'm just worried about how much I'll make or what not. I know I've made the argument that "money isn't everything," but I mean, I HAVE to make a living out of something, right? Science & math aren't exactly my cup of tea, so the medical field isn't for me. This nursing thing isn't cutting it. My parents already have my back with me not doing nursing anymore, but I feel bad that their expectations of me aren't what they had in mind anymore. Regardless, I know they support me 100% now. Nurses make hella good money & I applaud anyone that sticks to it. More power to you. It's just... not me.

I just need to decide fast. I wanna be on my own already.

Hooligans

I love my friends.

Wednesday was Manang Dani's 20th birthday, so on Tuesday I decided to bake cupcakes in the theme of "UP" to celebrate her's & Alisha's birthdays. Alisha's was last week. It was a last minute thing & I hella didn't even plan it out ahead of time. Come Wednesday morning, I went to Bel Air to buy some stuff I needed (food dye, frosting, etc.) & found gift bags to put their presents in. I bought a pink bag for Dani & a purple bag for Alisha. Oh, & matching tissue paper. LOL. I was going to to these cupcakes & bake Cookie Monster cupcakes, but I couldn't find white chocolate melts to make eyes. ): So I just stuck with the "UP" motif. I just thought it was a cute idea since we all watched it together, while drinking. Yeeeah, we would. I was so crunched on time because we made plans to watch "Despicable Me" at the drive-ins that night. I couldn't find our cupcake tins & pastry decorating things, so I called up Mags to borrow hers. She was out for a while so I ran a few errands while I waited. I went to Party City to grab ribbons (for the cupcake balloons) cuz I couldn't find any at Bel Air. I found white chocolate melts there too! I was mad. Whatever. But I saw that a huge spool of ribbon was around $3. I wanted two colors, so I was like "Whatever" about it. Then I saw that latex balloons were 99cents. My frugal thinking decided to get two balloons & ask for extra ribbon. I bought a pink & purple one. I thought it would be hella funny to be all matchy-matchy on their presents. I had around 5 hours to bake, decorate, & print/assemble the house I found on the Disney website. I got it all done with an hour to spare. Scoreeee. They were butter pecan & I added a splash of Amaretto. mmmmmmmm. Went to Dani's, they blew out their cupcakes & we headed out. We took Alisha's mom's van & all decided to hide so that we didn't have to pay so much. Oh gurl, I get paranoid when it comes to shit like that. But we successfully hid under blankets & hoodies and paid $2 instead of $7. Yeee. It was a cute movie & I want a minion & an Agnes NOW. haha. (:

Today (Friday. I don't count a day as "tomorrow" until after I wake up.) we went to Great America. I've never been there so I was pretty juiced. I left around 9:30 to scoop up Alisha, Nicole, Dani, & AJ. We got some sandwiches at Subway before we left so we wouldn't have to buy food there & burn hella money. Got on the road around 11:30 & we played the "Would You Rather?" game, which turned into the hypothetical situation game. hahahaha. It passed time pretty fast, so. We got to Great America around 1ish & ate half our foot longs. $5 ftw! Our first ride was the 2 story carousel & Dani made the fun idea of switching to a new horse once we go around out of sight of the ride operator. We agreed. We went around, ran to a new horse, & with my luck I would go to the one that was on it's way up. Everyone was on their hose & I was trying to straddle that shit before the operator saw me. My shin hit the horse's ass & made a loud noise. We were in his sight already. I gave him a sad look & said "Maan, I fell off my horse." After the ride was over, we had to pass him so I told Nicole "OMG. How the hell did I fall off that horse!?" Ahhh, we're so bad. (:

Went on a couple of roller coasters & forgot that I brought clothespins with me. I hella wanted to play the clothespin game. It's where you clip a clothespin to a victim's piece of clothing. With each clothespin, you get a point. With each employee, you get five points. I sucked. Really bad. Every time I would go to clip someone, my clip would fall to the ground & people around me would look. It's funny how when you're up to no good, everybody in the world always stares at you. We were walking to go find funnel cakes & saw that people were in line to take pictures with Snoopy. He counts as an employee so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to do some damage. I was recording all our shenanigans on my camera, so I just gave the chick my phone. We all get up to Snoopy & clipped that bitch. Well, I sucked at it. I clipped his fur, then it fell. So I clipped the shirt he was wearing. LOL. The chick taking pics already knew I did some shit. We took the picture & everybody got the fuck outta there. I forgot about my phone so Alisha ran to the chick. I was recording us while we were leaving & told Snoopy "Byeeee. I love you!" & walked out hella fast. Nicole turned around & told us that they found the clothespins on him. Whoooooooops. hahaha. At the end of the day, Alisha won. That slut. -_-

I still have a pack left. We'll probably FSU at the State Fair.

Breathe

Didn't do much today. Went to the Galleria with Nicole to get birthday presents for Alisha & Dani. It's really hard buying stuff for someone else, especially if you're super picky about what to buy, like me. I kept thinking, "If I don't like it, then they won't like it." I'm pretty sure our presents did my personal mantra for the day justice. Ooh, they're opening a Gordon Biersch there in September. There was construction on the second floor next to the food court & it looked strangely small for a restaurant. Like, not even the size of a McDonald's. idk, I guess we'll see what it looks like in a month's time. We went into this new store that looked a lot like the Hollister storefront called Gilly Hicks. It was like the Victoria's Secret of Hollister. It was dark & sexual. No, really. Pictures of nearly naked people all over the walls. I love how A&F, Hollister, & Gilly Hicks were all in the same area. Seeing as how their storefronts look like actual buildings, it was like walking in a rich white person's neighborhood. Not my cup of tea. haha. We got into my car & Nicole realized she didn't have her phone so we ran all the way back to Gilly Hicks where she left it. Some trashy white girl told us she gave it to the people up front. It's nice to know there are honest people in this world, even if you look like a hot mess.

I was craving Leatherby's ice cream, so I treated Nicole to some. Every time we eat, we talk about hella serious stuff. I love that as unserious as we always are, there are those serious moments that we have that always makes me think. She definitely made me think today. Friendships, love, the future, relationships, whatever. She's like my own personal Oprah. Except not old. haha. But anyway, I'm trying to reevaluate a lot of things I'm going through right now & just take baby steps in dealing with them. I don't know how I'm gonna get there or how long it'll take. At least I have a handful of friends that will help me get through some rough times. Lately I've been really irritated with the smallest things & I really just wanna be alone most of the time. A lot of stuff has just been piling up that I don't feel like dealing with people. I've been such a homebody lately that the only place I ever go to now is the gym. But I really like all this time to myself.

I guess I'm doing better. So far.

Note to self: Check your credit card statements often.

A few weeks ago, I went into the Apple Store to buy a bumper for my iPhone. I used my credit card to pay for it. I swiped my card, confirmed my information & the employee asked me to swipe my card again because he "messed up on confirmation." But he told me not to worry because it "didn't charge twice." I was thinking to myself, "What if he did charge me twice?," for a few days, but didn't think nothing of it really.

After this whole free bumper/case ordeal with Apple, in which they gave you refunds for recently purchased bumpers if you bought them with a credit card, or you could order another one for free. I got an e-mail confirming my refund & I managed to order a free bumper. For a few days, I've been checking my credit card statement online to see if the refund went through because I thought it would right away. Nope. It just refunded me a few hours ago. I checked my statement & saw that I was refunded for more than what I payed for ($31.74). I got refunded double that. That fucker did charge me twice.

I'm really bad at keeping track of what I purchase. It's not good, seeing as how I am using a credit card, which makes you more susceptible to fraudulent charges & everything. Time to put myself in check.

But whatever, it's all good. I got my money back. His name is on my original receipt though. Maybe I should complain to the manager.

Chill

It was Nika's birthday dinner @ BJ's today. She rounded up old friends & co-workers from Tilly's. Dinner was bomb. Went to her house afterwards to party & it was hella crackin'. Everyone was drinking & playing beer pong. Evalyn & Neeks didn't wanna drink beer so I told them I'd drink for them. I always do that, haha. I didn't really get buzzed tho'. Towards the end, I decided to clean up for Nika cuz I felt bad. I cleaned up pretty well. hahaha. It was great catching up with my old Tilly's friends. Haven't talked to them in forever. I kept getting a lot of drunk "I love you's" & "I miss you so much."

I missed chillin' with my high school friends too. No matter what shit we go through, & no matter how long, we always end up kickin' it as if time was never a factor.

Love my homies. Goodnight.

I'm really surprised with my parents

Ever since Senior Year in high school, they've been pushing & pushing me to become a nurse. I really had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, so I just decided to be a Pre-Nursing major @ State to get them off my back. Up until recently, I have been going back & forth with a lot of things I'm more interested in: technology, fashion, design, film, photography, graphic design, etc. I knew I'd be miserable doing nursing my whole life. I mean shit, I wouldn't be able to stick a needle in someone's arm. Although, I am really fascinated with blood. LOL.

I've had numerous arguments with my mom telling her that it's not what I wanted to do. I gave the whole "Money can't buy you happiness" spiel, but she just wasn't having it. She's Filipino, for crying out loud. But after careful reconsideration, I decided to switch majors in the hopes that my parents wouldn't get mad at me, crossing my fingers that I could somehow graduate without them knowing that I switched. haha. I decided to go en route to Family & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Fashion Marketing & Design. I subtly told my mom that I think it'd be cool if I had a clothing line & she was surprisingly all for it. She said it'd be "Hecka cool." Uh, what? Who are you? hahaha. I haven't officially switched yet, but that's where I was planning on heading until I just had a talk with my dad. He asked me if I wanted to do nursing still & all I said was, "Um...I don't know." His response definitely surprised the hell out of me. He told me that I should do something along the lines of computer science, since I'm glued to my laptop all the time. He wasn't mad. He said he'd be happy for me if I went with it, since I do know all the in's & out's of tech-y stuff.

But, holy shit. What's changed in them? I'm sure glad I got that anti-nursing thing off my chest though. I don't know where I'm headed, but I know it's something I'll be really happy with & super interested in. & to have my parents behind my back 100% now, that just seals the deal.

Haters to the Left

Frustrated. Angry. Disappointed. Upset. Hurt.

I'm done with everything. Maybe I'm acting out on impulse, or maybe this is just years of suppressed emotion & resentment that was waiting to be unleashed. I don't know.
I'm so outspoken now as opposed to before. I used to be the quiet kid. Going though high school, I'd hear shit about me & the only thing I would do is keep quiet. Now I'm just blunt as fuck. If something's bothering me, I'll tell you. I'm so done dealing with people, fakes, lies, & bullshit. To the people that thought they knew me: you're dead fucking wrong. Karma will fuck in the ass. Think before you speak. You'll never know when it'll come around to the person you're talking about.

Nobody worry about me though. I'm fine.

You stay classy, San Diego

Whoops. Been a while. Meant to blog about my SD escapades everyday. I guess I got too busy?
Anyway, a lot went on in the past week.

Last Monday, Nette took me out to explore the wonders of downtown SD. Sorta. I was really disappointed in the weather. The entire time I was there, it was ugly. ): But a lot made up for it. So yeah, Nette treated me to all these places. My first Korean BBQ joint, Burger Lounge, & Heavenly Cupcakes. Yelped about all those places. I'm thinking about the Burger Lounge's veggie burger right now. Ugh, they need to open one up here. haha.

On Tuesday, LJ & I decided to "camp out" at AT&T for the iPhone on the actual launch day. We meant to go around 12, but LJ came home around that time & she said no one was in line so we decided to go later. We set our alarms for 3:30, bought food & ate it in my car outside the store. There were about 8 people there already so we weren't worried. The place opened at 7, so we had time to kill. We chilled in my car for 30mins & I opened my sun roof. Every few minutes or so, I heard someone yelling randomly & I thought I was just hearing stuff. We got out of the car & it turns out, it was some homeless woman saying stuff to, well, nobody. The only thing that separated us was a Glacier water vending machine. Not gonna lie, I was a little terrified. She would shout random stuff like, "Don't drop the soap!", she started talking about whores, & something about "Snatching property." It was funny yet sad at the same time. At one point, an Albertson's employee walked in & greeted her with a "Hi, Cora." To which she normally replied back. The people in line joked around saying that she was a regular here. LJ & I picked up that she had a Filipino accent so we called her Auntie Cora. LOLOL. The store finally opened 10mins early. We got in & was serviced by this employee who was really nice. LJ told him how a few days before, we asked if we could go on the same plan & keep my number and they just said no. Turns out, you can. He told us to come at a later time when it wasn't that busy. We got our iPhones, I got the cheapest plan to last me until later in the day. We came back around 4ish with Big Sis & Ryan and we managed to go on the same plan & keep my number with the manager's help. He also told us he found a loophole in the system which allowed him to give us the unlimited data plan. We hella accepted. haha.

Wednesday, I hit up Del Mar Fair with LJ, Ryan, Warren, & Walter. It was supposed to be just Warren & I, but LJ tagged along, Ryan didn't wanna drive himself to meet his friends, & we ran into Walter when he worked so we told him to chill with us. My first fair here in California & it was kind of amazing. haha. I haven't even been to the State Fair up here yet. Hella sad. But yeah, we hella ate here. Onion blooms, deep fried Snickers/Reese's, strawberry funnel cake, Turkey leg (which tasted like cigarettes), & a deep fried Klondike bar (the batter wasn't even cooked all the way, so it was hella nasty). I met Mary for the first time, she's soo cute. Ryan said she was afraid of me, so I gave her a hug to ease the intimidation I had (I guess? haha.) I call her "Ading" now. We got home around 11:30 that night & Ryan found out "The Last Airbender" midnight premiere was that night. We thought it was the night after. We bought tickets on Fandango & left immediately. From a fan's standpoint, the movie sucked. At first, I was a little thrown off the way everyone's names were pronounced wrong, but I hella called that they only did that to alleviate the fact that white actors were playing Asian characters & so the only way to compensate that was to pronounce names how Asians would pronounce them. Ryan & I critiqued it in a blog. The effects still amazed me though.

On Thursday, Nette & I decided to have a beach day. We hit up PB so I could go to Buffalo Exchange to sell my shoes I bought 2 years ago. I didn't get shit. LOL. I was mad cuz I only wore them ONCE & the chick said they were too worn down. Really? Ugh, whatever. I left them there anyway. LOL. We hit up the beach & hella fell asleep under the peeping sun. We got pretty dark. Got home around 5ish & hit up Chula Vista with LJ & her twin to have dinner with Big Sis @ Zorbas Greek Buffet. That place was pretty amazing. $9 for a buffet? I see you, Zorba. haha.

I did absolutely nothing on Friday. LOL. I didn't even leave the house. -_- But LJ & I watched "Eclipse". I didn't like it. hahahahaha.

Saturday & Sunday was the Nafarrete reunion with the cousins. All was well. I ate so much I thought I was gonna explode. Well, I did have some explosion in the bathroom. Like fireworks. On Sunday, my mom told me not to drink because we had to leave around 4 to drive back home cuz she had work in the afternoon. I drank anyway. Not a lot though. Not even enough to get me buzzed, so I was fine. I ended up sleeping at 12, got 3 1/2 hours of sleep. Picked up my mom & Gabe at Auntie Elsa's & left around 4:30. Gabe & I talked all the way up to LA about random stuff and that helped me stay awake. I dropped him off & left to drive back home. Arrived back here around 12ish. I'm surprised I didn't stop at a rest area to sleep. Rohto Ice works wonders. (:

A Whale's Vagina...So Far

Before leaving for SD on Friday, I went back to Spanish Fly to get a clean up on my hair. & I got my hair cut on Monday. Yeeeaaaah, my hair grows pretty fast. haha. I left around 11 & didn't even reach SD until about 7:30. Yeah, I was pissed. Considering how fast I was driving (85-100mph), I THOUGHT I was gonna get here faster. Well actually, I reached Valencia around 3:30 & was stuck in traffic until I reached Orange County. Would've reached SD in 6 - 6 1/2 hours. But stupid me, leaving hella late. Whatever, haha.

Get to SD, go to Auntie Myrna's to see the grandparents & me, LJ, and Ryan go to Chick-fil-A. It just opened in Mira Mesa, so I guess it's the new spot. & wow, was it the new spot. There was a grip of people & it was crackin' like it was the In-N-Out alternative. Being the outgoing & not-so-quiet me, I kinda cracked a few jokes. Like, I ordered a sweet tea & the guy giving me my tea didn't know how to work the machine. His co-worker goes, "How long have you been working here?" & under my breath, I responded "...Since it opened?" So I got my chicken sandwich & we were waiting on Ryan's. This little cutie gurl calls out his name & I was gonna get it for him. She hella disappeared & I didn't know where the fuck she put the sandwich. So I loudly said, "Did you guys say Ryan?" They hella don't know how to work. Maybe I should yelp this place later.

So we get back to LJ's & Ryan asks if we wanna go see Demi Lovato tomorrow @ Fashion Valley. I wasn't opposed to seeing this girl. I mean, the bitch got some serious ass pipes. His friend ended up giving us 2 VIP wristbands & 1 regular since she couldn't make it. She stood in line at the Microsoft Store opening to get them, I guess. LJ & I started talking like cholas for some strange reason. I guess we outgrew our black gurl voices? We decided to re-watch Book 1 of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" & we ended the night at Chapter 6. We were falling asleep at 1, during Katara's speech she gives to the Earth Kingdom villagers that were captured by the Fire Nation. I hella woke up towards the end & I was like, "omg gurl. Shut up." & LJ was like, "I know right? You're taking too long." We confessed that we both fell asleep. & she woke up to me when I told Katara to stfu. haha.

Sooo, yesterday we went to Fashion to see Ms. Lovato perform. There were hella boppers (of course) & other unnecessary people there. Ryan said there were more people there than those who went to see John Legend the day before. People started waiting in line to get in since the morning, I guess. But we hella showed up there at 3, when she was supposed to start performing. Ryan didn't wanna be separated from us because he had a regular wristband. The VIP ones were white, regular ones are black. LJ turned it inside-out so it looked like he was wearing a white wristband. He got in. LOL. There was a red carpet & everything. I felt like a diva. There were like, 3 cameras but I pretended there were 50. So I just stood there & kept posing. For nobody. aahahahhaa. So we find Ryan's friends & stand behind them. I start to move & realize I stepped in somebody's nasty neon green gum. I made a lightweight scene. I yelled out, "OH FUCK NO. WHO'S FUCKING GUM DID I JUST STEP IN!?!?" & I turned to these girls behind me and I was like "Was it you two?" & they hella didn't respond to me and they were looking at the ground. It was totally them. I started talking shit. LOL. Well yeah, Demi was reallyyy good. She makes cracking seem soo sexy. She started to sing "This Is Me" with this little girl she pulled outta the audience & I did the Joe Jonas harmony to it. This lady in front of me told me, "Your voice is better than hers!" & I thanked her. Then I was like, "Waiiiit. Is she talking about Demi? Or that little 7-year-old?" ahahahaha. I felt bad though. I called her a bitch earlier cuz she kept staring at me. LOL.

Last night was fun. It was Keilani's birthday party/kickback thing. LJ & I got ready pretty early and we decided to stop by at Karen's. She wasn't finished getting ready so we went to go get booze. We went back to Karen's & waited for her. She didn't know we were across the street waiting for her. We straight up went on a stakeout & followed her for a good 5mins. LOL. No stalker tho'. LJ & I could NOT stop talking like cholas. It's soo hard. Sometimes we wouldn't even realize we were talking like that & it started to become fluid with our normal talk. We seriously had to stop. haha. But anyway, I didn't really plan on getting drunk. But uhhh, I hella did. Met two new putas. One of them my soulmate. She's amazing. We talked about alcohol being a diuretic. I know, right? We're tots meant to be. I'm amazed that I remember everything though. I mean, the first shot I took was probably a triple or quadruple shot. It was in a red cup & didn't tell Keilani to stop until I had a decent amount of alcohol in that cup. I was like, "Am I supposed to take all this at once?" & everyone said yes. Bitches. They tried to take advantage of me. ): Especially Karen. That slut. LJ called me in cuz this guy (I forgot his name. Naturally.) was playing the piano. He started playing "On Bended Knee" & I guess we were singing hellaaaa loud cuz Karen came in & told us to stfu. Whoooops. But yeah, I was obviously drunk if I told everyone to add me on facebook, myspace, twitter, & tumblr multiple times. Oh, & telling people they were my best friends. My two infamous lines when I'm drunk. Damn, I'm hella weird.

idk what I'm doing today. I want frogurt.

Tired & Uninspired

*begin vague rant*

I wish I could have some sort of inkling of happiness. I haven't been entirely content with my life lately. I pick my own battles, & I usually go at them alone. My entire life has been a constant struggle. I always think about the future & how much shit I have to deal with the rest of my life. I can easily cover up certain things with a smile, a few jokes, anything to take my mind off of things.

This past year has really been a test for me. I'm done with being that "nice guy" that everybody likes. I'm mostly upset with myself. Part of the reason why I'm so guarded is because I've been hurt in the past. By "friends" & "family", that I have the least bit of trust in a lot of the people that I come across. The only thing I ever knew how to do was to keep quiet. I guess it is true. I was bound to explode. Maybe I was just waiting for it to happen. idk. I'm really good at keeping to myself though. There are so many things I don't tell a lot of people. There are a select few that know EVERYTHING about me, & by that I mean 2 people. I have to learn to be honest, but I can't. People that I thought were my friends turned out to be nothing but hypocrites. I think it's safe to say that my entire family is full of hypocrites as well. Trust is such a huge issue for me. It's something you earn. Sometimes, I can't even trust myself, as bizarre as that may sound.

I think part of the problem is that I feel that I'm going through all my "battles" alone. I know I have close friends & a few family members I can rely on to get me through, but in reality I'm facing my monsters alone. To the people that think they know me, you don't. You have no idea what I go through everyday. You have no idea how long I've been keeping all this pain to myself. I feel so emo right now, but it's so true. There are a lot of things you don't know about me.

Maybe I'm just done with dealing with people. Or maybe I'm just done dealing with myself.
I could really use someone to pick me up right now. I hate feeling like this.

Six Flags

Yesterday while driving to do a photo shoot with Mags, I asked "So when are we going to Six Flags?" She replied, "Tomorrow."
We hella made that plan in a less than 24hour notice.

Left EG around 8:45, got gas, snacks, and journeyed on down to Vallejo. Got there around 10:30. Luckily, Mags had a free pass for me so I didn't have to pay for admission. When we got to the parking place, we had to ask if we could come back cuz we had a coupon for a buy one get one Big Mac. LOL. We would. She told us that we just had to show our receipt. While waiting in line to pay for parking we thought, "Damn, wtf. Why are there hella people here? It's only Wednesday." As soon as we saw the completely empty parking lot, we were definitely wrong. haha. Every time I go here, I always forget about the long trek you have to walk to get to the entrance. Being fierce, we treated it like a Victoria's Secret runway on steroids. We werrrrrked that whole thing. Not really. It gets tiring.

First ride: Medusa. Sat in the front. I brought my grey IN4M hat. Not a good idea. I had to hold onto that thing like it was my life. Oh, and my glasses too. Mags told me where the camera was. So of course, we were camera ready. We looked pretty fierce with the wind blowing against our smizes and pursed lips.

Second ride: Medusa. We immediately went back in line because there was nobody there. Only a 5min wait, give or take. This time, I had a strategy for all my stuff. I sat on my hat (which, I was really afraid to do that cuz I didn't want it to get crushed), put my glasses in my pocket, and busted out my camera to record the entire duration of the ride. We sat all the way in the back. Uhhh, not a good idea. That shit was wayyyy more forceful. We posed for the camera once again, got off the ride, and my hat was still there & not smushed at all. (:

Third ride: Hammerhead Shark. Uhhh, not gonna lie. I was kinda scared of this one. It's like the pirate ship that swings you back & forth, but it goes upside-down, goes back around, & it leaves you hanging upside-down. Oh, and you get to face people. So Mags & I hella faced each other. I recorded her reaction for a good 15secs until I couldn't concentrate on focusing the shot. haha. It was fun. When we were facing 90degrees downward, Mags goes "If you fall on me. I would die." Then the ride took us the other direction & I said the same exact thing. haha, omg that shit was way intense.

As we were walking to Boomerang, I saw Porky Pig & his girlfriend (who we named "Porka", cuz we didn't know wtf her name was) & I wanted us to take a picture with them. I went up to them, gave them a high-five, & immediately in my black gurl voice I say "Hey yaaaaa'll. Damn, you's is hella fierce." I gave them a compliment. & what did that fucker Porky do when we were taking pictures? He hella blocked my face. Oh hell no. Before an employee snapped that picture, I told Porky, "Um, you're kinda blocking my face." He hella didn't listen. Diva. Whatever. hahahahahaha.

Fourth ride: Boomerang. Long story short, this got us sick. We kept going on ride after ride. We seized the opportunity that the park wasn't as busy as usual. We had to sit down & drink water for a good 15mins. It was already 12:30, so we decided to walk back to the car & grab them Big Macs. & Dramamine. Oh, & Ziploc bags if we wanted to go on a water ride. LOL. We got back around 2 after adventuring around Vallejo.

We went back to the parking place & it was the same girl from earlier that told us about showing our receipt to whoever was working. I rolled down my window, showed the receipt & happily said, "Do you remember us!?" She did. She was less enthused. Bitch.

Fifth ride: Medusa. Yeah, we couldn't get enough of this. I told Mags not to show any emotion at all this time & not scream. 30secs into this ride, I couldn't help but laugh hella hard cuz we were dead silent. Our pictures were pretty funny though. Hella serious.

We got lost going to the next ride. Some "lesbian" security guard helped us. I only say that cuz she kinda had a thing for Mags. Ok, no. Not really. Kanye West's "Flashing Lights" was playing, so we runwayed out of the gaming section & went straight to the water ride.

Sixth ride: White Water Safari. Got all our electronics in the Ziplocs. Recorded the ride. We got wet. Figuratively speaking.

Seventh ride: Boomerang. We had to dry off somehow. Line was long. & Mags & I were dead silent. We were already tired.

Eighth ride: Voodoo. Uhhh. Don't go on this. Mags dubbed this the "couch ride". It looks like a couch. It spins & spins & spins. All I heard on this ride was a bunch of guys going, "OH SHIT. OH FUCK. FUCK. FUCK. FUCK." I jumped on the bandwagon & threw in a couple "fuck's" here & there. Nothing serious. Aside from the fact that 2 7-year-old girls were sitting by me. Whoops.

We felt like going on Medusa again so we walked back. I saw Foghorn Leghorn. We decided to take a picture. A white tiger character came out of nowhere & I was like, "Ohshit? Where did you come from?" That hella scared me though. The employee taking our picture told us to do the Lady Gaga "OK sign" over our eyes since "Poker Face" was playing in the background. It was pretty fierce. Oh, & you know that game where you have to stump the guesser (or employee) on your weight, age, month you were born in? Well, Mags & I were overhearing this little kid that stood on the scale & as we were walking away, the employee goes "Ohhh. You're 69 pounds!" Fuck, that was too funny. hahahaha. We walked back to Medusa & decided not to go on it. hahaha. We journeyed over to the Tony Hawk ride instead. That was fun. After walking all day in the hot sun, we waited for the tram. We saw this guy's souvenir soda cup thing & we wanted an ice cold soda really bad. We went to the same McDonald's but went in the drive-thru. The chick in the first window where you pay goes, "Were you guys here earlier?" I gave her a guilty look & said, "Yeah.........we're not fat gurls, I swear. We're just thirsty." Mags says, "Just famous. That's probably why you remember us." Then I say, "Yeah, we're like, really popular in all area codes..." She says, "Do you remember me? I was wearing a black shirt. My hair was down?" Wtf? How the shit are we gonna remember this girl? I told her with a sarcastic/disappointed "Noooooo." Mags goes, "We don't remember anybody but ourselves." I pay her & as I'm driving up to the second window, I tell her to stay fierce. Now the lady in the other window, that's another story. I asked her if she remembered us because the girl in the other window said she did. She handed me our drinks & just laughed. She told me she liked my hair color & I said thanks. She asked if we already had our straws. She spoke broken English. She didn't know wtf I was saying. So fail. But whatever, we're like really famous.

Dinosaur Eggs

Yesterday was pretty chill.

Went to Lake Oroville to chill with Alisha her fam, AJ, Nicole & Manang. I found this WESC tank top I bought from Tilly's a while ago & decided to wear it. Still had the tag on. I'm terrible, haha. Nicole & I got to AJ's first & waited on Alisha & Dani to come over. When they did, we put on hella temporary tattoos. We're such a weird group of friends. hahaha. (:

On the way to the lake, we found out that it was too low to go visit or whatever, so this lady from an antique store told us to go to the river. Following her directions (take Montgomery Street until the end), we took Montgomery Street... to the end. We were almost going up a mountain so we figured we were definitely going the wrong way. Alisha called up her mom to clarify where we were supposed to be heading. We found out we weren't on Montgomery anymore & I just kept on driving. We were trying to look for the end of Montgomery & ended up on the other side of town, where the river was (which was a 2min drive from the antique store). It was right under our noses. -_-

After unloading the car, AJ finds the loaf of bread & eggs I left in the back from grocery shopping with my mom last week. I definitely forgot I left that in there. I wanted toast a few days ago with Nutella & couldn't find the bread. I was about to accuse my mom of stealing my food too. I'm VERY overprotective over my food. Like feeding time at the zoo. Nicole decided to make use of the spoiled eggs & threw them into the river. While we were tanning, we would hear little kids say "I found an egg!" or "Look! An egg!". One kid even went on to ask his mom if it was a dinosaur egg. Trying hard not to laugh out loud, we just laid there & tanned our sexy asses off. Nicole, Dani, & I talked a lot about love, life, relationships, & friendships. Really got me thinking about a lot of things. But that's too long of a story to blog about.

After returning back to Sac, we decided to hit up the drive-ins to watch the new Katherine Heigl/Ashton Kutcher flick, "Killers" & "How to Train Your Dragon" afterwards. We picked up a little dranky-drank & Carne Asada Fries from Adalberto's. Which, I've been calling it "Aldaberto's" for the longest time, until I actually read the cups. LOL. While waiting in the crazy traffic going through the drive-ins, Nicole laid in my back seat to hide so she didn't have to pay. It worked. Although, I drove up to the register & the chick said "Tickets for 2?" to which I quickly responded "No, 3." Alisha silently laughed then I realized the stupid move I just did. We could've paid for 2 tickets. Ohwell. Good karma will come our way, I suppose. Sooo yeah, "Killers" was crap. Although, Nicole was pretty drunk while watching it. She had her feet up on the dash & kept putting them back down. She would push the emergency lights or change the radio station in the process. hahahaha. "How to Train Your Dragon" was cute, except for the fact that I kept falling asleep every 5-10mins. We were all tired. Nicole knocked out for the entire movie. With 15mins left, Alisha & AJ were asleep & I joked to Nicole, "What if we all fell asleep when the credits rolled?" We did. Luckily I woke up first. haha.

Well, that was the end to a chill summer day. (:

Spending Wisely? Uhh...

I have this problem. Actually, I think a lot of people can vouch for this.

I love CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid/any form of drug store. Oh, & Walmart. I walk in, get whatever I needed, walk out with a bag full of unnecessary shit. I decided to buy a bunch of color-safe hair products like shampoo/conditioner, deep conditioner, & hair serum. Having to keep up with half a head of blonde can get really expensive. That & my hair grows extremely fast. I have to fork over $85 a month for a haircut & touch up my roots. But since April, I've been going blonder because it fades too quickly (within 2 weeks, actually). I plan on just getting a haircut in 2 weeks, which is $45. I'm holding off on the color cuz my hair looks dry due to all the processing.

But I digress. So, I grab all this hair stuff & randomly went to the electronics section. I saw a Belkin laptop cooler for $20 & a gas duster for $5. I walk over to the DS games & saw "Pokemon: SoulSilver". I thought, "...Do I really need this?". I didn't get it though. Go me for being somewhat frugal.

Long story short, I ended up spending $60 today.

Jack's Mannequin - Spinning

A Fresh Start.

Forgot I had this. Been reading old Xanga posts from 2003-2005 & I forgot how fun it was just to write everything down. I definitely want to be reading about all the random moments I had a few years into the future.

I was gonna just blog on my tumblr, but seeing as how I fill it with the most random crap, it didn't seem fitting. Even though I tag things like conversations as "chat", I can't view them all for some reason. So if I ever wanted to read back on my blogs, I wouldn't be able to read them easily.

So here's to you, blogspot; my new Xanga.
